My brother Bob and I went out on a cold rainy day for the St. Croix River opener. The water temps were about 48-52 degrees in most places. The power plant was about 66 degrees. It was really hard to control the boat in any areas that we wanted to fish. We tried jigging fatheads and leeches along with trying split shot rigs with a plain hook. The river is still no wake so it was hard to cover a lot of ground. And yes we got skunked. Check out the Video. It’s always a good time out. Fishing patterns seem to be a few weeks behind this year because of the cold weather. Fishing will pick up in mid-late May.
