Bob and I had a  great Memorial weekend fishing Mille Lacs. It started out slow on Friday with lots of rain. Saturday morning was slow so we decided to try for some pike. What a blast! We must have had 30 hits and landed well over 10 pike 22-28.5 inches long. We only kept 3 total between the two of us. Saturday Evening we caught one keeper walleye. Sunday the pike slowed down a bit but the walleye fishing was pretty good. During the Day we caught a couple out deep in 19 FOW. When that slowed down we moved off a rocky point and caught the rest in 10 FOW. We also kept 3 walleye total between the two of us. What a fun Weekend! I heard the walleye bite was much better on the north side of the lake in the warm sand.
